About Us

Our Legal Status

SLWS was established in 2001 and was initially operated by Mallam O. & J. Ltd. In 2020, SLWS was taken over by Chrima Enterprise, a registered company in Sierra Leone. However, due to the challenges of book publishing in Sierra Leone—where books hardly sell unless they are prescribed for schools and colleges—and to ensure the sustainability of the initiative, SLWS was subsequently taken over by the University of Management and Technology (UNIMTECH) at Kissy Dockyard in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
