Biography of Frederick Bobor James
Frederick Bobor James is the present Director of the Institute of Educational and Extra-Mural Studies (INSEEMS), Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. He was born in Yonnie village in Ngawo chiefdom, Bo district, southern Sierra Leone. He attended Bo District Council Primary School and Bumpe High School at Bumpe, headquarters of Ngawo chiefdom. Bobor James received tertiary education at Milton Margai Teachers College, and Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone; and holds a Certificate in Communication for Development from a nine-month UNICEF-Ohio University online course. He is author of the novel The New Disease (SLWS, 2016) and the plays The Weaver Birds (PEA Stories and Songs from Sierra Leone Series, No. 15), The Runaway (PEA Stories and Songs from Sierra Leone Series, No. 38), and Fragile Rights (SLWS, 2017). His poems have appeared in anthologies at home and abroad. Bobor James is married with children.
