Biography of John Abdul Kargbo
John Abdul Kargbo is Associate Professor and Dean, Faculty of Arts at Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. He has long standing university teaching experience where Bibliographic Control is a component of the different modules he teaches. He is contributing to numerous international journals and is the proud winner of Library Review Journal’s R. D. MACLEOD Award for Excellence (2000). At home John Abdul Kargbo was runner up, Action Aid INGENDO Award (2000), and Administrative Staff of the Year (2008), an annual award given to worthy academics at the Vice Chancellor’s Annual Banquet, organized by the University of Sierra Leone. He is a member of the Literati Club, a club for prolific writers in Library and Information Science, and also member, Sierra Leone Association of Archivists, Librarians and Information Professionals (SLAALIP). His research interests include Library and Information Management, Information and Communication Technology, Cataloguing and Classification, Records and Archival Management, Knowledge Management, Research Methodology, and Human Resource Management.
