SLWS Participates in World Bank Meeting on the Creative Sector’s Role in Sierra Leone’s Economy

The Sierra Leonean Writers Series (SLWS), led by its Publisher, Professor Osman Sankoh, COR, joined a distinguished group of artists, playwrights, filmmakers, publishers, and writers at a meeting organized by the World Bank Country Office in Freetown. The discussions focused on the critical role of the creative sector in driving economic growth and cultural development in Sierra Leone.
The World Bank introduced a pilot project aimed at fostering growth in the creative industry, highlighting its potential to contribute significantly to the national economy through job creation, innovation, and cultural expression.
