Half-way through Class Four, a sudden change comes over a ten-year-old girl, the protagonist of A Turnaround. She is distracted at home and at school. Nothing interests her anymore. Her parents are worried. Then an accident happens that brings about another surprising change in the girl. The poem, To Learn or Not to Learn, and the informational piece on adolescent rights and responsibilities, Take What Is Yours But Do Your Part!, continue the theme of the responsibility of young people to make good use of educational opportunities.
