In the title story, The Dancing Queen, a young girl hopes to be a professional dancer and singer with her own group and musical instrument. But as a single teenage mother who is solely responsible for her sick mother and child, will she ever fulfill her dream? The poem Child Mother and Wounds and the informational piece Child Mothers in Sierra Leone complete the collection.
